Mathnawi al-Nuriya ( not all sections) | Second Treatise | 15
(1-45)

O mankind! Can you argue that this unique individual is not the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings? Is there in your history another one more worthy of this position than the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings? O one whose eyes are not blind and discernment is not dull! When you look at the human world in this universe, you will clearly see two spheres and scenes facing each other. The first sphere is that of the Divine Lordship infinitely magnificent and well-ordered. The first scene is that manifesting the infinitely perfect and splendid Art of the Maker. As for the second sphere, it is that of servanthood radiant with utmost submission, integrity and righteousness. The second scene is the scene of utmost contemplation and appreciation, and the firmest belief and fullest thanksgiving.
If you have discerned these two spheres and scenes, then look at the relationship between them. You will clearly see that the first sphere moves thoroughly in the name of the first one and works with all its strength for its sake. Again, you will surely observe with a little attention that, with all its content and meanings, the scene of contemplation, thanksgiving, appreciation and belief, is wholly turned to the scene of art and favoring.

When you have witnessed this reality with your own eyes, is it reasonable for you to deny the greatest relationship between the chief of the sphere of servanthood and the Owner of that of Lordship? By fully appreciating and exhibiting [the works of] His Art, that chief serves the purposes of the Maker most sincerely. Does your heart allow you to remain unconvinced of the fact that he has the greatest relationship and connection with the Maker, and that he speaks to the Maker directly and the Maker honors him with His Messengership? Indeed, he is evidently accepted and beloved by the Lord of the Whole Domain [of the heavens and the earth]; he is the most beloved by Him and the nearest to Him.
