instinctual soul, to kill its savage attributes, to overthrow all its destructive and fissiparous soldiery, whether outer or inner. It is indeed the duty of the Risale-i Nur to extinguish the fire of sedition and corruption, and for the sake of this that it was born and came into being.

We stress again, on the basis of the indicayion contained in the verse,


God will bring forth a people whom He shall love and who shall love Him,(1)

of what cherished warriors is composed this blessed, auspicious, courageous and noble people of ours, living in this blessed homeland that is the cradle of saints and holy men, of warriors and conquerors.

In those who adopt and assimilate the Risale-i Nur, greed and rancour decline, oppressiveness and lust melt away. The fire of ignorance and wretchedness is extinguished. The slumber of immersion in nature decreases. The sleep of neglect comes to an end. Soul and heart begin to work. Each vein becomes a channel of light. Neither love of the world nor desire for the Hereafter remain. "I" and "You" disappear. The veils that are said to be seventy thousand in number begin to lift, and the mountain of existence begin to show cracks. Sounds begin to be
